Demo of Browser frame security flaw

Secunia (a well respected Danish Security firm) has posted a demonstration of a security flaw that affects both Internet Explorer and Firefox as of today. The flaw could allow a site to inject its own content into another site, thereby grabbing passwords or pin numbers etc.

The scenerio is that I go to a site and buy something with my paypal account. It then injects their password grabber into Paypal's website.

Here is the demo: Secunia Frame Injection Demo

Norton Live Update Half Dead

by Steve Shank

When you turn automatic updates on, it does not update your software! My clients' have not found this intuitively obvious. Automatic update will update your virus signatures, but leave your software old, backward, vulnerable and in need of update. Therefore, even if you have automatic update on, monthly you must run the program control center and run the live update from there which will check program components for update.
