Google mail is worth the invite

by Dave Kezziah The new Google Mail, otherwise known as Gmail is one the best free internet based email services out there. I get 2 GB of storage vs 250 MB on Yahoo. In addition, it has a very innovative reply feature. When using other email programs and replying to an email, the program generates a new email message, so if you try to hold a conversation with someone via email and keep replying to what they are sending, you could have 20 or more seperate emails that say RE: (subject). Gmail works so that in this senerio, it notifies you of the number of replys and you can drill down to the end. Another great thing about Gmail is that has preview text of your message next to the subject. Google advertises the benefit of being able to send large files like pictures over their network because of the space capacity. You cna not just sign up for Gmail, you must be invited to join to get a Gmail account. This was done to assure they don't get overwelmed too quickly by requests. I recommend it if Hotmail, or Yahoo are your primary email accounts
